Inspiration / Searching for High Quality
Gallant is a singer & songwriter from Washington, D.C. He’s been a favorite of mine ever since I heard his debut album “Ology”. I love supporting and listening to artists from my hometown and Gallant is number one on that list. I made this in celebration of him returning home to perform in the fall but sadly the tour was cancelled.
Gallant’s lyrics are very abstract so I thought it would be fitting to make the wallpaper reflect his overall aesthetic. I added the rough geometry shape to represent the way he conveys his loneliness and melancholy in his lyrics. He has a signature gold sad face drawn over his eyes and mouth on is album but I wanted to leave out the mouth part in my edit of him. I started with a very high quality image for the best possible quality when rendering.
Lock Screen Template
Added the lock screen template of an iPhone to ensure it aligns properly if used on an actual phone.
Finished Mockup
Added it to an actual iPhone mockup was the cherry on top!
I’m really pleased with how this idea turned out and how the overall look came together.
